He is excited to be taking part in his first ever production with People’s Company, playing the role of Fluid in upcoming History Unplugged.
Jackie Kearns
Jackie loves being part of People’s Company and taking part in a wide range of performances from Shakespeare in the park to community pop-ups. She would like to thank everyone in the Company for making History Unplugged such a fun show that celebrates the lives of great women who touched and were touched by life in Southwark.
Dami Ogutuga
Dami enjoyed the process of the last production - Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and is enjoying being a part of People’s Company as they bring to stage the original production, History Unplugged. She believes this is a timely play, which celebrates the lives of amazing women who made a difference to their local communities.
Harvey Steven Meneses
Harvey is an internationally trained method actor. His credits include theatre and film, including previously working at the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the Lyric Theatre, Arcola Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, and being part of various productions with People’s Company. Harvey has also participated in different movies such as Kenneth Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express, Tim Story’s Tom and Jerry, and Alberto Arvelo’s The Liberator.
Claire Finn
Claire Finn plays Mary Shelley and student Sam in History Unplugged. She previously performed as Snout for the company's outdoor production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Claire is a professional actor from Nottingham. Her credits include ‘Inside Holloway’ as Edith Thompson (Channel five), ‘Criminal Histories’ as Margaret Flower (BBC East Midlands). Her theatre credits include Southwark Playhouse, Mansfield Palace Theatre, Lyric Theatre Hammersmith and the Edinburgh Fringe.
Ellen Davis
Ellen joined People’s Company in January 2019, and History Unplugged is her second production with the company. She previously played Moth, (described as Shakespeare’s most mysterious fairy), in the Company’s interpretation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream over summer. Ellen is very appreciative of this opportunity to play and learn in ways she could never have imagined and to feel part of this wonderfully diverse family who are People’s Company, where it seems anything is possible!
Stephanie Umebuani
Stephanie has been performing since the age of 11 after enrolling in a local drama group for young people. She has landed some acting gigs during and after university where she studied Performing Arts. She loves being back on the “scene” working alongside such a diverse group of wonderful people who make up the People’s Company. After her debut with the Company playing Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, she is very excited to take on a new challenge, playing the role of Norma Lawrence, and shining the light on influential women in Southwark in History Unplugged.
Mina Temple
Mina has been a member of the People's Company since its birth in August 2014. She loves the variety in its productions and the diversity within the company. She particularly enjoys the historical productions and animated walks. Her knowledge of local history has increased immensely, and the current production - History Unplugged - featuring significant women of Southwark, has added to it.
Miranda Quammie
Miranda plays Mary Wollstonecraft in History Unplugged. She previously performed with People’s Company in their outdoor production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Hippolyta earlier this year. Miranda trained at Identity School of Acting. Her credits include the Doctor in Buckets at the Cockpit Theatre (2018) and Sonnet Sunday at Shakespeare’s Globe (2018).
Erina Jamil
Erina has been part of People’s Company since the beginning. She has relished the opportunity to play various roles ranging from evil Shakespearean goblins, a bullying kid in the 1960s… come to think of it, her characters have been pretty horrible human beings… it’s all part of the fun! She thanks People’s Company for the chance to be so horrible! Fortunately, she’s not that bad in real life.
Richard Seedhouse
Richard joined People’s Company earlier this year, and having shown audiences his Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream over the summer, is excited to be stretching his range in this new and original production, sharing with the audience how the impact of the pioneering women from our history will underpin our future.
Rawlene Evelyn
Rawlene embraces the role of rebellious teaching programme VIM in History Unplugged. In her youth, she was a member of the National Youth Theatre. She also studied Drama at Morley College. Earlier this year Rawlene brought the tough guy Lysander to the stage in our contemporary production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and has enjoyed working on several earlier People’s Company productions.
Adriana Solari
Adriana Solari loves both the past and the present with a particular interest for historical dances and early music. A keen costumier with an eye for details, she has assisted with the actors' outfits and her collaboration with People's Company has been, for the last two years, creatively intense and passionate. From Shakespeare to new productions, she has undertaken acting roles with gusto, including as Starveling, the most fashionable of the mechanicals, in A Midsummer Night's Dream. She is excited to be a part of the upcoming production of History Unplugged.
Shelagh Farren
Shelagh is an evergreen feature in People’s Company productions, having been with the company since its inception. The Company has driven her into things she would never have contemplated and she loves working with the team on fun projects. She describes their weekly meeting as “Happy Tuesday”. Having wowed audiences in A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Peter Quince, she now brings Ada Salter back to life on stage in History Unplugged.
